School Based
There are three categories of school enrolments and
each one uses a different enrolment process:
School enrolment
Schools receive information and enrolment forms from
the Open Access College in Term 3 each year.
The school must support and arrange school based student
enrolments.
To enrol school based students, school principals or
co-ordinators should:
- Ensure that students have been appropriately counselled
at their school about subject choices.
- Forward a completed enrolment form by fax or post.
- Enrolment forms can be downloaded (see below)
Medical
All medical enrolments need to be negotiated with an
OAC counsellor and supported with specialist documentation.
Initial contact can be made through their school or
directly through Student Services at OAC.
The enrolment form requires the enrolling school principal’s
signature and Open Access will liaise with the school.
Flexible Learning Options
All FLO (Flexible Learning Option) enrolments must be negotiated between the case manager and an OAC counsellor. The IEP must be forwarded to the Open Access College counsellor. The enrolling school principal's signature is required on the enrolment form. The form may be faxed or posted to OAC.
Interagency referral
Students on Alternative Placement or Exclusion can
only enrol through the Interagency Referral Process.
Interagency personnel make contact with the OAC counsellor
and negotiate the enrolment.
If you have any questions about school based enrolments
at the Open Access College please contact Student Services.
