Duration of course

This is a two unit (full year) course.

Assumed knowledge

No background knowledge is assumed but good literacy and numeracy skills are highly desirable.

Course Overview

Psychology aims to describe and explain both the universality of human experience, and individual and cultural diversity. It does this through the systematic study of behaviour, the processes that underlie it, and the factors that influence it. Through such study, students can come to better understand themselves and their social worlds.

Psychology builds on the scientific method by involving students in the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.

• Assessment Component 1: Collaborative Investigation (15%)
• Assessment Component 2: Individual Investigation (25%)

• Assessment Component 4: Examination (30%).
