Our achievers celebrated

Wednesdeay February 10, 2010

8 Open Access students were among 755 South Australian Year 12 students praised at the SACE Merit Ceremony at Government House yesterday. Each year, students who received a Merit in one or more subjects in their South Australian Certificate of Education results are presented with awards and prizes for their outstanding achievements.

Students and their awards at the Marden ceremony

Several students also attended an Open Access ceremony at the Marden campus, attended by several of their teachers and principals. Students Tabby Ryan and Sean Baker spoke to their peers and teachers about their journey, both agreeing that the flexible learning environment at Open Access College had opened up opportunities to pursue extra curricular activities and be self-directed in their learning, while still having access to excellent teacher support.

133 Open Access Students, all who received one or more As in their studies, were invited to receive an award to recognise their achievments. A booklet of selected student achievers was also made available at the ceremony, as is now available on this website.

Congratulations
