Who is this course for?
Students interested in investigating significant current social issues, considering both political and environmental questions and to evaluate possible solutions.
What will I learn?
You will investigate, for example why 10,000 species go extinct every year and the world’s rainforests may disappear within 100 years and what you can do about it. To undertake this investigation, you will be applying in a practical way the skills of both Geography and Civics & Citizenship.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment will be based on achievement standards and will consider your:
- skills of investigation into complex social issues
- communication skills
- skills to reflect and evaluate
- ability to problem solve
