Students in the Middle Years are provided with learning that is relevant, purposeful and connected.
The essential elements of the Middle Years program are:
Students undertake Progressive Assessment Tests (PAT) in term 3.
Each year 9 class stays together for Mathematics, Science, English, History, Health and care group. Each class has two teachers that stay with the class for these core subjects.
There are six scheduled lessons a week for the core, including one care group lesson which focuses on student wellbeing.
In addition to the core subjects students in year 9 will also develop specialised skills in one or more of the following:
Students are expected to participate in two specialisations per semester.
Within Languages, The Arts, Technologies and HASS students can choose from the options below.
Students who choose Language or Music choose both semester 1 and semester 2.
