Who is this course for?

This subject is for students in Year 11 and follows on from Stage 1 Research Practices in Semester 1. Students will begin this subject mid-term 2.

Research Project is a compulsory element of the SACE which students must complete with a C- or higher grade in order to gain their SACE.

Students will complete either Research Project A or Research Project B.

What will I learn?

You will have the opportunity to study an area of interest in depth. It will require you to use your creativity and initiative while developing research and presentation skills you will need for further study or work. You will explore and develop one or more capabilities in the context of your research.

The four parts of the research framework are:

  1. FOLIO: Initiating, planning and managing the research
  2. FOLIO: Carrying out the research
  3. OUTCOME: Communicating the research outcome
  4. EVALUATION or REVIEW: Evaluating or Reviewing the research

This framework is flexible to accommodate different models and approaches to research and enquiry-based learning and to guide each student's research, on any topic and in any context.

How will I be assessed?
