Students interested in uncovering the messages found in artworks and creating their own messages with the use of symbolism. There are two exciting units in this course. This elective is ideal for students who enjoy working with a combination of traditional methods such as drawing and painting, as well as digital manipulation using Photoshop. Students will be expected to work with pencils, paints, Photoshop etc. to create artworks.
1. Media and the Message
Improve your creative thinking and art-making skills through exploring ways of generating awesome ideas and themes for idea-based art.
2. Art that tells a story
Learn to use fantasy, imagination, storytelling and memories to make unique 2D and 3D digital artworks.
Assessment will be based on the Australian Curriculum, Visual Arts achievement standard.
