Probus Visit

On Tuesday morning, 19th June, we had a visit from 43 Probus members for a tour of Port Augusta School of the Air. The visitors observed a Year 3 Math lesson, had an information session and Q&A session, and viewed the schools historical displays. We then shared a morning tea break together.
A few members spotted their own children or family members in photographs, or had their own personal connections to School of the Air over its 60 year history. We discussed how SOTA has changed over the years, and the nature of student learning in today’s world.
Many of the visitors exclaimed how interesting the visit was, and how it was nice to experience how SOTA works after hearing so much about it. It was lovely to meet the group and learn from each other.
