'Are You In The Dog House?'

This dynamic activity was a blend of engineering, mathematics and a heartfelt appreciation for our four-legged friends. The project kicked off with students diving deep into the realms of measurements and proportions. With guidance from the teachers, our budding engineers crafted blueprints for the ultimate canine abode.

The goal? To create a doghouse that was not only visually stunning but also a haven for our furry companions!

Students could then choose to bring their designs to life in two equally exciting ways:

  • Hands-on approach - Donning safety goggles and embracing traditional building materials to construct their dog houses.
  • Digital approach - Utilizing state-of-the-art 3-D software to virtually sculpt and refine their creations.

As our students worked together, they cultivated practical skills in engineering and mathematics. This fun activity transcended the traditional classroom, unleashing the potential of our students to become not just scholars but compassionate innovators shaping a brighter future. Students even had the opportunity to use our real-life companion dog “Lily” to design and decide on their perfect design!

Here's to dreaming big and designing even bigger!
