2023 OAC Student Art Competition

Competition extended till Week 4 - Last day to submit an entry on Sunday 12th November 2023

This year's theme is 'Festive Sweets and Treats.' Participate for a chance to win exciting prizes, get your artwork featured on our website, and have it printed on our end-of-year greeting cards!

Create an artwork about the festive sweets and treats that you enjoy over the holiday period. Think candy cane colours and stripes, gingerbread cookies and other delights! For example, you could choose to illustrate your favourite Christmas Pudding or family sweets that you love sharing over the holiday period. Think about what you love to eat and what traditions you look forward to during this time. Be creative!

Eligibility and Entry Categories

All Open Access College students are eligible to enter. There are three entry categories:

• Primary Years (R-6)
• Middle Years (7-9)
• Senior Years (10-12)

Competition extended till Week 4 - Last day to submit an entry on Sunday 12th November 2023

Medium

Your artwork can be in any medium, for example painting, drawing, photography, collage, digital, mixed media or sculpture.

Prizes

In each category, two winners will be chosen. Each winner will receive a gift voucher and pack of greeting cards with their own artwork printed on them.

Judging

Artworks will be judged by OAC staff on creativity and skill level.

Publishing

Winning artworks will be published on the college website and our Facebook page. The artworks will also be made into greeting cards for the college. Only first names will be published alongside the artwork.

How to enter

Please email your entry to Events.OAC886@schools.sa.edu.au or to your class teacher

Please provide the highest resolution image you can (under 10Mb for emailing) by scanning or taking a high quality photo if it is a physical artwork.

Along with your artwork file, please include in the email:

• Your full name
• Your OAC Student ID number
• The title of the artwork and the mediums used to create the piece
• A media consent form giving us permission to publish your artwork
