Library News Term 1 Week 7
Posted on March 12, 2019
We hope the school year has started well. And, a very big welcome to all the new students, governesses, supervisors and families. We have appreciated the emails and phone calls and requests at Assembly to keep you busy with reading and other resources! It is pleasing to see the variety of resources students are asking for.
Resources for class work
The resources the teachers have requested have all been sent out to students. Some will have arrived before the start of the year and others during this term as topics etc have been finalised. And, planning is well underway for the later part of this term and for Term 2.
Thank you to everyone who has returned resources they have finished with in the red bags. Please turn the red card around so the Reply Paid option is showing and use the cable tie in the front plastic pocket to secure the bag as it travels around with Australia Post etc.
We are running very short of red bags and would appreciate you sending back any you have finished with.
Premiers Reading Challenge 2019
The Challenge on on for 2019. Please keep a list of books you have been reading and you can use them for the PRC this year. Remember it is 12 books that you have read or listened to (eg an audio book), have been read to you or your class has read. The 2019 forms are available on the Library page of the website at http://www.openaccess.edu.au/about/library
Library resources are available via the OAC website
As well as the resources we send out there are other resources available via the OAC website under the library link at http://www.openaccess.edu.au/about/library Please let us know if you would like more information about using these resources. We will also be coming on to lessons etc to work with students to use them too. The teachers have also had an update while they were working at Marden recently.
