Mini Schools

This year Mini Schools was held in Port Augusta during week 10 of term 3. SOTA students participated in a variety of educational activities throughout the week. On Monday evening we held a SOTA community dinner at South Augusta Football Club. Tony from Cool4Kids came to entertain the students prior to dinner thanks to DES fundraising. The students went on a Pichi Richi Railway Adventure on Tuesday with a stop at Emily’s Bistro in Quorn for lunch. Teachers facilitated an online NAPLAN trial for students in years 3-7 on Wednesday as well as student-parent-teacher interviews that afternoon. On Thursday, students in years 3-6 completed PAT testing and in the afternoon everyone attended the SAPOL and MFS incursion in the outback centre. To finish off the week on Friday, students participated in an amazing race activity onsite at SOTA. Teachers enjoyed having all students onsite to teach lessons in person.
