Year 6 Stop Motion Animation Videos

Max Stop Motion

Over the second half of term 2, the Year 6 class has been looking at media studies, by creating epic Stop Motion Animation videos. To create Stop Motion Animation Videos, students have to take multiple photos, with minute difference between each shot. 1 second of film can be made up of 12 photos.

The students could create three small videos or 1 large project and shared them on Seesaw. By sharing them on Seesaw, students were able to get encouragement and critique each other’s work. They were also able to share their ideas and build on each other’s work. The videos quickly became more complex and had story lines.

“I had a lot of fun making my stop motion “Weekend Ride” and I was very happy with my final product” Corey H. Harvey W said that his video was about - 'Drovers with their trusty blue heeler bringing their mob of cattle in to the dam for a drink before carrying on, on their journey.'
