Aboriginal Yarning Circle - Term 3

Yarn Circle

Join us for a Yarning Circle hosted by the Aboriginal Education Team at Open Access College on Friday, 15 September, starting 11am to 2.30pm.

We will have Karen from Australian Native foods with a new Bush Tucker demonstration. We also have Aunty Freda Mills. Aunty is a Narrunga /Kookatha and Gunditjmara/Jardwadjali/Werrigia elder who is working with Karen on growing, harvesting and utilising indigenous plants. This will be followed with our ACEO, Tracey, conducting another “Art experience” where you can help to finish our mural.

The Yarning Circle is an in-person event, held in the Boardroom North at the Open Access College campus. To ensure we can accommodate everyone for this special occasion, please RSVP by September 11th. To secure your spot, simply visit the registration form at: https://forms.gle/py7fa4s2QE7UTPNSA and return by email the attached consent forms to Mic Bradshaw.

This event is open to all members of our school community and everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating Indigenous culture and fostering meaningful connections. For any further inquiries, please contact Mic Bradshaw - Michael.Bradshaw712@schools.sa.edu.au or call 8309 3625.
