Career Pathways for Girls in STEM

Career Pathways for Girls in STEM

This free, practical workshop is designed to enhance interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and help students discover diverse future opportunities. The Career Pathways for Girls in STEM workshop is a fantastic opportunity for Year 9, 10 & 11 students considering a career in STEM, as it offers a chance for students to ask questions and talk about career pathways available to them from women who can share their experiences and insights.

The workshop features keynote speaker Genevieve Rueger, a Helicopter Pilot and Fire Fighter with a wealth of experience. Students will also engage in two interactive workshops of their choice, exploring topics like generative AI and the application of STEM in sports. The students will have the opportunity to discuss STEM tertiary education options with representatives from Flinders University and speak to a team at Harrison McMillan to gain insights into how to write the best cover letter and resume for future job opportunities.
