Using the Library Resources

It has been wonderful meeting up with OAC students either online or face to face when you visit. A team of Library staff are available to assist students and parent/supervisors.

We have an extensive range of resources you can access either via the Library system on the OAC website or we can send them out to you. We have resources to assist students with their study, assignments and also recreation.

Library staff have been joining in classes on WebEx to share ideas and information about (print and online) resources available from the Library.

Premier’s Reading Challenge

Students at all year levels can also join in the Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC). To complete the Challenge students need to read 12 books and fill out the titles on the form.

Forms are available from the Library Page on the OAC website. Go to the Library page. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and download the form for your year level. Completed forms need to be returned to the Library.

Extra challenges that occur during the year as part of the main PRC will be advertised to students. Certificates and medals will be sent to students when they are delivered to the Library in term 4.

Clickview

All students have access to Clickview – our digital video library. Clickview has video content that is used in lessons as well as some films etc for general viewing. We are working to add to our movie collection in 2019.

If you haven’t already set up your Clickview account for 2019, check your emails for one from Clickview. Use your Daymap email and the first time use the password marden. You will then be prompted to change it to one you know/will remember. Then you are ready to start your viewing.

The link to our Clickview collection is on the Library page of the OAC website or go straight there from this link - Go to Clickview. If you have any issues using Clickview please contact the Library.

Displays and other activities happening in the Library

During Term 1 we have organised a range of displays to promote various events; for example Chinese New Year, The anniversary of the Apology to the Stolen Generations, The Superloop car race, Writers’ Week and other Mad March happenings!

Other displays have promoted aspects of the library collection, like series books and new titles. Photos of our displays and other library events are up on the @mardenlibrary Twitter account.

Jigsaws, find-a-word sheets and other games are available to be used in the Library if you are visiting Marden – or we can send them out to you.
