Upcoming Wellbeing and Engagement Collection (WEC) Survey

WEC Survey

Dear Parents and Guardians,

At Open Access College, we are committed to supporting the holistic wellbeing and academic engagement of our students. Understanding that young people's wellbeing significantly influences their learning experiences, we are participating in the statewide Wellbeing and Engagement Collection (WEC) survey.

About the WEC Survey

The WEC survey gathers students' perspectives on their own wellbeing and their engagement with school. This initiative spans across South Australia and includes students from Years 4 to 12. The insights from the survey will assist educators, policymakers, and the community in enhancing support systems for our young people’s health and wellbeing.

Participation Details

  • For Students in Years 7 to 12: The survey will be conducted during Care Group in Week 5.
  • For Primary Students (Years 4 to 6) and School of the Air Campus: Participation will be facilitated during class time.

Students may opt out of the survey at any stage of the process.

Parental Consent and Opt-Out Information

We value your partnership in this endeavour. A detailed letter outlining the specifics of the WEC survey will be sent to you early in Term 2. Should you decide that you do not want your child to participate, please inform us by emailing Student.Services805@schools.sa.edu.au.

We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us understand and improve the educational and emotional environment for our students. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
