Who is this course for?

Students interested in investigating significant current legal, political and social issues.

What will I learn

You will compare and evaluate the key features and values of Australia’s and China’s systems of government and evaluate whether the voting age should be reduced in Australia. You will analyse sources of information about Australia’s global responsibilities and consider the role of the High Court and explain how Australia’s international legal obligations influence law and government policy.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment will be based on achievement standards and will consider:

  • your skills of investigation into complex social issues
  • your communication skills
  • your skills to reflect and evaluate
  • your ability to problem solve
