Who is this course for?
Do you enjoy taking photographs and want to take your photography to the next level? This course is designed for students who are interested in photography and want to develop their skills in capturing visually engaging and effective images.
You will explore how composition, camera techniques and creative decisions can transform an ordinary photograph into an effective visual communication.
What will I learn?
Throughout the course, you will:
- Develop practical photography skills and techniques to capture visually effective images.
- Explore photographic composition, framing, focus, lighting and other techniques to improve the quality and impact of your photographs.
- Create a series of photographs based on a chosen theme or concept.
- Learn about the Design and Realisation Process and apply it to the planning, development, and production of an image-based product.
- Develop your ability to communicate ideas and messages through photographic imagery.
How will I be assessed?
You will demonstrate your learning through:
- Skills and Application Tasks – practical activities that demonstrate your developing photography skills and knowledge.
- Design Process and Solution – planning, developing and producing an image-based product using the Design and Realisation Process.
