Students who are interested in contributing to and influencing society using mathematical approaches to the ever-changing challenges of today's world. It leads into Stage 2 Mathematical Methods and Stage 2 Specialist Mathematics. Specialist Mathematics is designed to be studied in conjunction with Mathematical Methods.
It is assumed that students taking this course are undertaking or have already successfully completed Mathematical Methods A or equivalent.
A high level of understanding of Year 10 Mathematics and Year 10 Mathematics Bridging or equivalent is assumed.
Students who complete this course with a C grade or better gain the compulsory 10 point Numeracy component of the SACE.
