Our Awards Ceremony is our biggest face to face event of the school year. At the Ceremony, we celebrate the exceptional achievements of our year 7-12 students and farewell our graduating year 12 students. In addition to recognising subject outstanding academic and personal achievements, we will also present major awards, showcasing awards such as Outstanding Year Level Awards, ADF Awards and AMPOL Best All Rounder awards.
As well as celebrating the achievements of our students, we will be listening to guest speakers and seeing some talented students perform. We'll end the ceremony with an afternoon tea at the venue. All award winners and their families will be notified in Week 5 of Term 4.

Join us at 12.30pm for a 1pm start
The ceremony will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, followed by an afternoon tea starting around 2.45pm. Please note that the venue will close at 3.30pm.
Seats are not reserved except for speakers and performers, so you are free to sit where you like.

Only if you have received an invitation as an award recipient or student graduating Year 12, will you need to RSVP. Please RSVP your attendance for the OAC Awards Ceremony here. This form will also include a question about the total number of attendees, helping us with catering and seating arrangements. There is no need for each family member to submit an individual RSVP.
We understand that some students may have to travel a significant distance and may not be able to attend the event in person. If this is the case for you, rest assured that we will ensure your certificate awards are sent to your address.
About the awards
The exact nature of most awards will not be revealed until the day. The awards presented will include:
- Academic Achievement Awards - for academic achievement in years 7-12.
- Personal Achievement Awards - awarded for years 7-12. Students have displayed effort, or a commitment to development in that subject.
- Special Awards - including Premier's Reading Challenge
- Major Awards - including Outstanding Year Level Awards years 10-12, the AMPOL Best All Rounder Award, Long Tan Award, and ATSI Award
- Graduation Certificates - in recognition of year 12 studies toward the South Australian Certificate of Education
Venue information
The Ceremony and afternoon tea will be held in the main hall at Norwood Concert Hall, upstairs at 175 The Parade, Norwood.
Enter via George Street and take the lift or stairs to the first floor.
There are various parking options in the area, including:
- The Parade Central Car Park (cinema carpark). Fees are payable, however parking is free if you have a docket validated by a participating trader in the Parade Central shops.
- Webbe Street Car Park. Time limit is only 2 hours on the ground floor, however some unrestricted spaces are available on second level.
- Norwood Place carpark. First 2 hours are free for shoppers at Norwood Place.

Photography and Media Consent
Events Photos, a South Australian-owned business, will be the official photographer for is event. All students attending must complete a media consent form (Pdf-132Kb) and return the form to Student.Services805@schools.sa.edu. There will be a group photo on the stage, of all awardees and the Year 12 graduates at the end of the event. If you do not provide media consent, kindly refrain from participating in the group photo.
How to acquire event photos: Guests can easily register by scanning a QR code (found on the program on the day) with their mobile. After the event, Event Photos will email and/or text a link to view and download photos to all registered guests. Please note that you will only receive photos in which you have been photographed.
Dress code
Neat casual attire. Open Access College students are both home-based and school-based. Most school-based students prefer not to wear their school uniform, however it is your choice.
