Displays and other activities happening in the library

Photos of our displays and other library events are up on the @mardenlibrary Twitter account.

A popular one at the moment is the celebration of the 50th birthday of the much loved picture book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. Other recent displays have highlighted World Environment Day and Refugee Week.

Premier's Reading Challenge

It is nearly holidays and it feels like that could be the perfect time to curl up with a good book! And, those books you read can all be counted for the Premier’s Reading Challenge. Please contact the library if you would like books sent out to read for the challenge.

The PRC form for your year level can be downloaded from the Library page on the OAC website. Go to Library Page

Completed forms need to be returned to the library by September.

Weblinks

Have you used the Weblinks Database? It is a collection of weblinks that have been chosen as suitable for school students and is arranged under topics. It is a great resource to use to access websites and articles etc for assignments. You can access Weblinks from the Library Page on the OAC website. Go to Library Page

You will need to log on with the user name marden and the password library. Then click on the box for either primary or secondary student so you get the links and articles suitable for your learning. And, if you have topics you would like added to the database, send your suggestions to library@openaccess.edu.au
