All the Best for Term 4

Welcome to new students and wishing all the best for Term 4. To senior school students finishing off lessons and assignments and those gearing up for exams we understand it is a very busy start to the term for you. We are looking forward to getting all your resources back once you finish classes. If you need a list of resources currently out in your name, please let us know. We will also be sending letters to everyone later in the term.

Premier’s Reading Challenge

The Challenges are over for 2019. Well done to those who joined in this year. For those who completed either or both challenges, certificates and medals will be sent or presented to students during Term 4.

Storytime on Monday and Book Chat on Thursday

Storytime and Book Chat will continue during Term 4. Students in R-6 classes are welcome to join in the Library Storytime event each Monday at 1.30pm on WebEx. Students in Year 5-7 classes are welcome to join in the Library Book Chat event each Thursday at 2.15pm on WebEx. We look forward to meeting up and sharing stories and showing off new resources available from the library.

Flipster Online Magazines

Do you like reading magazines? We have a large variety of magazines available online via Flipster. To access the magazines go to the Library Link on the OAC website and Click on the Ebsco databases link. You will need to use the username marden and the password library. Scroll down and click on Flipster and check out the magazines available. You can also download the Flipster App to read the magazines on your devices too.

Displays in the Library

We are celebrating spring in the library for the start of Term 4 as well as encouraging readers to choose a book based on emoji reading suggestions. At the end of Term 3 we celebrated Roald Dahl Day as well as Australian Reading Hour. Photos of our displays and other library events are up on the @mardenlibrary Twitter account and will soon be up on Instagram too.

If you have any queries or would like resources sent out, please contact the Library. Our phone numbers are (08) 8309 3620 or (08) 8309 3640 or use the 1800 882 328 number and ask for the library.

If you are able to make it in to Marden, please visit us in the library and meet the staff and check out the resources. You can also email us at library@openaccess.edu.au
