Student Achievers - Rebekah Rosenzweig

Rebekah Rosenzweig

My name is Rebekah Rosenzweig. I am 17 years old. I live in Tanunda, which is located in the beautiful Barossa Valley, South Australia with my parents, my three brothers and my sister.

My interests include photography, cooking and craftwork.

My experience at OAC

I have been home schooled from the very beginning of my school life. In Year 10 I started studying with Open Access College when I completed one subject, the Personal Learning Plan for SACE. Last year I completed all of Year 11 with OAC.

I really enjoyed the subjects I studied in Year 11 with OAC. The subjects I completed were English Pathways, Mathematical Applications, Information Processing and Publishing, Photography, German Beginners A, and Research Practices. I completed my Research Project in Year 11.

The learning experience was very enjoyable with weekly Webex lessons with my teachers. It was great that I could always contact my teachers by phone and email during the week if I had any questions and needed some help. It was a great surprise to me to receive three Academic Achievements and a Personal Achievement Award at the end of year at the Awards Ceremony in 2015. It showed me what I could achieve if I was organised, worked hard and did my very best.

And today

This year, 2016, I am doing three Year 12 subjects and the Certificate III in Business with OAC. After I have completed Year 12 I would like to get a job and work in an office environment as an administration assistant.

I am looking forward to seeing what this year will bring as I complete Year 12. I am sure I will have a very enjoyable time because I have the support from my wonderful teachers and my family.
