Celebrating Our Dedicated Educators at World Teachers’ Day
Posted on November 05, 2026
World Teachers’ Day provides a wonderful opportunity for the Open Access College community to pause, reflect, and celebrate the passion, adaptability, and unwavering dedication of our educators. Teaching in a distance and flexible learning environment requires distinct creativity and care, and our teachers continually go above and beyond to ensure our students feel connected, supported, and inspired to achieve their best.
On World Teachers Day, 30 October, our staff gathered for a celebratory morning tea to connect, share stories, and acknowledge the incredible work taking place across our learning areas. Highlights of the morning included presenting our teachers with special gift packs, sharing some lighthearted moments with our community awards, and unveiling our collective Appreciation Wall. Filled with touching messages of gratitude from across our school community, the wall was a powerful reminder of the lasting impact our teachers have on students' lives every day.
Thank you to all the students, families, and staff who contributed thoughtful notes and well wishes. Most importantly, thank you to our remarkable teachers for your commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment for all Open Access College students.
