Students interested in understanding issues associated with childhood development. No background knowledge is assumed.

What will I learn?

Child Studies is a study of childhood development and influences from birth to 8 years.

Child Studies is divided into three topics:

  • Child Development and Socialisation
  • Children in the Wider Society
  • Children's Rights and Safety

How will I be assessed?

You will demonstrate evidence of your learning through the following assessment types:

  • Practical Based Activities
  • Group Practical Activity
  • Investigation
