Who is this course for?

Creative Arts is for curious, creative students who want to explore an area they’re passionate about and develop their skills. You’ll have the freedom to follow your interests, experiment with new ideas and independently grow as a creative practitioner.

You can explore areas such as:

  • Visual Art: Mixed Media, Digital Art, Image Manipulation and more
  • Performing Arts & Media: Music, Drama, Dance, Live Performance, Media and more

The possibilities are open — choose a pathway that excites you!

What will I learn?

You’ll learn through making, experimenting, exploring and reflecting. You’ll develop your creative skills while learning how ideas move from the first spark through planning, experimentation, development, refinement and presentation.

Teacher guidance and your own choices will work together, giving you the opportunity to take creative control and develop your own direction.

How will I be assessed?

1. Folio & Creative Product — 50%

You will develop one or two creative projects, documenting your journey from initial ideas and experimentation through to your finished work.

2. Written Investigations — 20%

You will investigate a creative practitioner and a style, movement or genre connected to your interests, discovering new ideas and influences along the way. Students complete two written investigations of 1000 words each.

3. Practical Skills Folio (external assessment) — 30%
